We have noticed through the years that many of our customers are used to gasoline vehicles and automatic transmissions. Our Motor Homes are all equipped with Diesel Engines and manual transmission with a few exceptions of course. When starting a diesel engine please follow these steps:
- Step on the break
- Step on the clutch
- Put the gearbox in neutral
- Switch to ON and wait for the glow plug icon in the dashboard to go off
- Start the engine
- release handbreak if applied
- put in gear (first or reverse)
- slowly remove your foot from the clutch
- Alway release the clutch fully, standing on it while driving will over heat
